A Heart for Truth
You know, sometimes life doesn't make sense. It feels random and leaves us with more questions than answers. But I've learned it's a good place to be. If I allow it, it opens my heart to learning some amazing things. I'd love to have you come along and together, take a look at things like leadership, relationship, and my very favorite...listening to the stories of others with a heart for truth.

Sometimes, there's just no other way to express the mixture of emotions that happens when one is asked to live vulnerably in an invulnerable world.

I woke up feeling closed this morning, closed off to people seeing this deeply within me. I want to turn my heart away from what I've been doing, from putting my voice to what I feel, to how I see things, something I've been asked to do from within. It's not easy staying this wide open, allowing who knows who to take a look at how I see and experience things, opening myself to judgment, to misunderstanding, to being assessed for intention. All this from afar, all this behind a device. This morning the yard was littered with sticks from last night's storm. I could well imagine having thrown them myself due to the storm within. What I really feel underneath the anger is a sadness. Opening my heart in this way is vulnerable and certainly does not create what I need. I prefer choosing who gets to see this deeply into me, and quite frankly, those numbers are in the very low single digits. Digits that resemble well a zero. It hurts to keep my heart wide open while I speak from it, write from it, and live from it. Can't I just please live in my quiet little corner, doing what I need to do every day, and live inside the protection of how people typically relate. Talk of the weather and the latest in the news. Asking me to stay open in a world that is closed is asking a lot. And so, since I'm being asked to stay open, to put my voice to what I feel, then here's what I feel. What the fuck, man?
